What is your car rental scratch policy?

Understanding the Damage Waiver

Minor damage—like scratches, dents, or a chipped windshield—is typically covered if you purchase the Damage Waiver, an optional protection plan available with your rental.

If you decline the Damage Waiver and the vehicle is damaged, you may be responsible for repair costs out of pocket. Coverage through your personal auto insurance can vary, so it’s wise to check with your provider before renting.
